My Approach

Hi, I’m Rhiannon.

I work with new parents throughout California who want support navigating the emotional, relational, and identity changes of the postpartum period. Many of the people I support are experiencing postpartum anxiety, depression, stress, or challenges in connecting with their partner or themselves.

Through postpartum therapy, we focus on understanding your unique experience, building skills to manage stress, and creating space for self-care, connection, and healing. We may explore mindfulness, reflection, communication strategies, and practical tools to help you feel grounded and supported.

I also integrate my training in trauma and couples therapy when appropriate, helping parents navigate intimacy, desire, and past experiences that may impact your life as a new parent. Together, we create a safe space to reconnect with yourself, your partner, and your growing family.

I welcome all identities, family structures, and lived experiences, and I believe every parent deserves support as they adjust to life after birth.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • During the free consultation call, we will spend up to 30 minutes talking about what you hope to get out of therapy and how I can support you and your relationship. This is the space that allows you to get to know myself as a therapist and allows me to get to know you to ensure we are a good fit for each other. If we both decide to move forward in working on your goals together, we will chat about any necessary paperwork and scheduling our first session!

  • I meet with individuals for a 50 minute session and couples for a 60 minute session. We can discuss how often sessions will occur during our consultation meeting to best fit your needs and support you with reaching your goals.

  • If you are late for the scheduled session, the session end time remains the same and we will meet for a shorter session. If I am late, I will extend the session time to ensure we meet for the full 50 or 60 minutes. If you need to cancel please do so with at least 24 hours notice. If you cancel within 24 hours or do not show for a scheduled session, you will be charged a late cancellation fee. I understand that life can be full of the unexpected, let’s just stay in contact.

  • I do not accept insurance and am not on any insurance panels at this time. If you are struggling to afford my full fee, let’s explore payment options that may be available to you including a sliding scale fee.
