Couples Therapy
You and your partner love each other, but you are feeling disconnected, or you have noticed some changes in your relationship and are not sure how to manage them. Maybe daily stressors are just adding up and taking a toll on your partnership.
We will work together so you can learn more about each other and your relationship to establish shared goals we can work from, whether it’s wanting to feel more understood, address shared responsibilities, or enhance your intimacy.
From here, you and your partner will practice skill-building and applying what you have learned to your shared lives. The real magic of connection happens outside of the therapy space, so this is the time to lean into shared experiences, communication exercises, and repair to enhance your connection.
If you or your partner are experiencing mental health struggles, or the effects of trauma we will work together to create a sense of safety in your relationship and explore what healing can look like. Oftentimes, it is hard to understand how your trauma can show up in your relationships and our work together in couples therapy allows for a unique insight into your relationship and yourself.
I believe that couples trauma work is even more beneficial when done alongside individual therapy as the focus on couples therapy is on the relationship rather than on one partner. This allows you and your partner to have space to heal and grow that is your own.
Together we will: Improve communication
Create space for learning
Explore how you want to be in relationship
Practice mindfulness and healing
Promote shared experiences and pleasure
Address concerns around sex & intimacy
Let’s work together to help you and your partner feel good, together.
